All Is Now (2021)
a dectet (for 10 players)

Instrumentation:  flute, clarinet, horn, 2 violins, viola, cello, doublebass, percussion, and piano

Duration: 24 minutes

Program Notes:

All Is Now reflects upon our current moment in time and the importance of relationships and priorities in life – the importance of “now”.  It was written during the height of the pandemic, in which the world seemed to be in both a state of upheaval and on pause.  The piece moves from hyper-kinetic activity (almost chaotic) to lyrical stasis, with differing tangents in between.  It’s a large 24-minute canvas, and was commissioned by Eleanor Eisenmenger for the Chatter ensemble.
