Program Notes:
Dream-Scherzo is a harpsichord concerto of sorts, with the harpsichord as the main focus of the piece, and the ensemble of clarinet, violin, cello, and percussion acting as the "orchestra". It is a journey through ethereal textures at the opening and closing, while rhythmically dynamic scherzando textures dominate the middle section. The work was commissioned by Eleanor Eisenmenger for the Chatter Ensemble and harpsichordist Kathleen McIntosh.
